Those reports insist the killer possessed surgical skills as indicated by the knowledge he demonstrated precisely removing organs from the victim’s body cavities, i.e. H.H. Holmes. Authors Trevor Marriot and Patricia Cornwell sidestep their suspect’s absolute lack of surgical ability by ‘creating’ doubtful fill-in-the-blanks scenarios, even going so far as to suggest the pathologists were involved in some grand conspiracy.
